I love baking and cooking. Being in the kitchen rivals photography for me at times. So why don’t I combine the two to make pure heaven more often? I don’t know, but I’ll keep it up, I’m excited to continue to share my two delights with you all!
I discovered the existence of Apple Dumplings at Ruby’s Birth (how did I go 26 years without knowing of their divine existence!!!???) Ruby’s Grandmother started making them the moment Ruby arrived and I was able to leave their home with a happy heart and Apple Dumpling in hand. Luckily, my Mother has the same old Better Homes and Gardens cookbook Ruby’s grandmother had so I was able to replicate the recipe exactly. They do take a lot of work, but I am telling you, they are OH SO worth it!

(To make the new recipe like the old one you just need to add 1/4 tsp nutmeg to both the sauce and sugar-cinnamon mixture, and opt out the nuts,raisins and honey.)
