We all feel the need to capture moments in our lives, the big moments like our wedding day, to the little ones like our daughters first haircut. I am no different in that regard. When I found out I was expecting, I knew I wanted more than just a photo holding my baby when all was said and done. I wanted to remember my husband’s hand grasping me in reassurance as I struggled to find a breath. I wanted the detail of my mother’s locket around my neck, the moment I thought I couldn’t push any more, and the moment my heart melted at my first sight of my daughter. I wanted the whole story, from start to finish, without a detail being missed or any moment forgotten. The images from that day bring me back to the excitement, the intensity, and all of the deep love that was present in that room. My love for photography, paired with my love and respect for the birthing process, quickly propelled me into photographing this monumental experience for other woman and families, and, 3 years after the birth of my own baby girl, I now exclusively shoot births.
Choosing to photograph women and families in their intimate experiences and with film allows me to capture and express their true and intense emotions. It is a means of connection with my clients, and it is the conduit by which I share my truest sense of the world with others. I offer custom and compelling photography for those looking to preserve the emotion, detail, and love in their lives.

I recently moved to Seattle, Washington and falling in love with the city life and even the rain. When I’m not out shooting, you’ll find me reading and marking up my favorite novel, in the kitchen concocting some strange or fabulous meal, or playing hide and seek or tickle monster around the house with my 2 favorites.
